TRANSLATIONS

We have more than 25 years’ experience of translation work, especially translating scripts for TV documentaries, PR videos and animations. Ideally, we work on a complete package that includes script translation, narration coordination, studio supervision and copywriting; this provides a clearer understanding of the whole project and the nuances of the words used.

Each type of translation demands particular skills and knowledge and we always try to find the best translator for the job. Our pool of translators are all highly experienced and we ensure that all translations are carefully checked and rewritten by knowledgeable native speakers of the end language.

Languages

We handle translations to and from many languages. The main languages we deal with, besides English (British & North American) and Japanese, are Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin), Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Arabic, Indonesian, Malaysian, Thai, Tagalog, Vietnamese and Russian. But whatever language you require, please ask us!

Writing, Rewriting & Editing

Besides translations, BBT also works on many kinds of writing, rewriting and editing projects. They include work on the preparation of shooting scripts and radio/TV programme scripts, the proofreading and editing of manuscripts for publication, and CM copywriting—often for Japanese commercials being sent abroad or entered in international advertising competitions.
